Which is the best and easiest way to create your own website

WYSIWYG editor - FrontPage, Dreamweaver, GoLive, CMS (content management systems) the list goes on...
There are many ways to create your own website depending on how much you know and your learning curve.

Different users have different views on each type of web building software they used. I pick a few comments from the public just to highlight the points.

"Don't use wYSIWYG to create your own website. They Sucks....."

"Netscape and Dreamweaver are nice to use, HOWEVER, you should be able to do basic HTML coding to FIX the problems that creep in from time to time."

"Use a WYSIWYG editor and KNOW basic HTML coding is the way to go for."

"I've used FrontPage and Dreamweaver, FrontPage was awesome...."

"Many people use FrontPage and say it is very easy to use with certain disadvantagous, one of which is that Search Engine do not seem to like pages built by FrontPage."

"I use DreamWeaver and it is quite easy to use ...."

All softwares have the good, the bad and the ugly stories to tell. Picking the wrong one can be a real hindrance to your progress. So what should you do?... and how to select the right one?.

Remember, to chase your dream of making money from the internet is like running the steeplechase and it's not that easy. Your first hurdle is to select or learn how to build your own website. Here I will zero down to two options and you can pick one that suites you. If you are familiar with other WYSIWYG editors and is confident with them, then go ahead and use it.

The first option : start from scratch - learn the Basic HTML Coding, is my recommendation.
I suggest you learn html first, they are simple, you can learn it quickly and you can create html webpages easily by yourself. Start by learning how to use html coding, it will be much easier for you later where you may want to make adjustment to your site. Knowing how to code with HTML can helps you fix problems that may creep in from time to time and also make's it easier to incorporate other features like CSS (cascading style sheets), php and asp and the rest, but stay away until you have master the html.

Go to HTML Goodies to get all the free tutorials about HTML. Build-up your knowledge through some inexpensive (and free) training. Another great site for newbies who are on the learning curve click here. It provides fabulous tutorials and let you try some exercises on what you learn and at your own pace.

I am very certain that anyone capable of reading, writing and thinking enough to create simple but decent site content is more than capable of learning enough HTML to make a site look respectable if they can be bothered. Whether they need to, or whether it is a good priority, is quite another matter, but the myth that HTML need be hard or complicated doesn't hold water.

A favorite quote: "If it's going to be, it's up to me."

If you are following this option to start off by learning HTML, you are advise to allow time for it to develop. It's very easy to be tempted into going off at a tangent and end up spending hours, days, weeks or even months fiddling about with HTML.

Print out the tutorials and follow the step by step guides, bring out the note pad or textpad and put it into practice. Once you can see your first page taking shape, the rest will be easy to follow through.

Play around with the many options and view the pages you have created and feel happy with it. Once you got it right, refer back to Chapter 2 : You Need A Website Rich In Content And Value to start building your own website. Check out Web Design for more informations to help you on the website layout.

Let's put all these into perspective. Learning how to code with HTML is the very first step that can take you a long way with building your own profitable websites. As you build your business websites you will be exposed to more deeper expect of HTML combining with other applications. In life there is no ending to learning more new things, likewise the same for building websites.
The only setback for using this option is you need time, the time frame for learning and getting your website ready depend solely on you. If your learning curve is average, you can learn and have your site up within three months. Be patient, build a website with contents that you know and love.

The second option will be useful if your time is limited and you need a website to promote your business fast and easy. Click here for the second option.
